Chance of Drizzle, Small Waves; Tuesday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Small and workable waves. Dense fog advisory until 9 a.m., chance of drizzle until 11 a.m.

Good Tuesday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're not seeing a whole lot on tap today. Waves are fairly small, but you can find a few fun workable ones.

The conditions are looking fairly clean from the start, but some spots are seeing some texture on the surface. We have a mixture of some minimal south-southwest swell and just a hint of northwest energy in the water.

That combination is expected to bring this stretch of sand some crumbly lines, with a few decent shoulders to snag. Most spots in Imperial Beach are running about knee to waist high with the focal points pulling a few plus sets.

Today's weather forecast calls for a mild 66 degree high with a chance of drizzle before 11 a.m. Patchy fog the rest of the day with a low of 59 this evening. Mid 60s in Coronado, near 70 in Chula Vista and downtown San Diego. Temperatures could reach low to mid 80s inland and 96 in Borrego Springs.

The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory for coastal and low lying areas of San Diego until 9 a.m.

If you're in need of a salt water bath, break out a thin fullsuit with the water temperature averaging at most spots between 62 and 64 degrees. Good luck out there!
