Friday Wave and Weather Report

Tide push should help it!

I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. An early morning negative low tide got things off to a slow start today but things should improve as that water begins to fill-in.

As far as the surf goes...there's the continued mixture of mostly dropping south-southwest swell and some pretty minor northwest windswell in the water.

That recipe is offering this neck of the woods some fast and dumpy semi-wally lines, with a few good shoulders to pick off. Most spots in Imperial Beach are running about knee to chest high, with the the focal points pulling the occasional plus set.

In the day's weather, expect beautiful sunny skies with a high temperature of 70 degrees. Westerly winds may reach up to 20 mph this afternoon. This evening expect a low temperature of 63 with winds around five to 10 mph and increasing clouds.

If you're going to grab a session, a thin short sleeve fullsuit is plenty for that a.m. session with the water temperature averaging between 65 and 68 degrees.  Have fun out there!
