Wednesday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Grab the small wave gear.

I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, I'd say it's about time to break out the small wave gear. Yep, we're basically back to mostly minor energy out there.

We're seeing some pretty clean conditions from the start, with mainly residual south-southwest swell and some fairly small northwest energy in the water.

That recipe is providing this stretch of sand with some fairly crumbly and sectiony lines, with a few fast ones to be had. Most Imperial Beach spots are running about knee to waist high, with the top combo breaks seeing a few plus sets.

In Wednesday's weather forecast calls for a high of 86 degrees and low of 65 this evening. 88 in Chula Vista, 90 in San Diego, high 90s inland and around 110 in the desert.

If you're itching for a salt water bath, throw on at least a thin fullsuit for that a.m session with the water temperature hanging between a cool 62 and 64 degrees. Good luck!
