Wednesday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Plenty of playful size waves with weather that is only expected to get better tomorrow.

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Our latest run of good size surf is continuing to fade away, but there are still plenty of playful waves out there, but a general advisory for all San Diego County beaches remains in effect. Beaches from the south end of Seacoast Drive to the U.S.-Mexico border remain closed.

Sunny today with highs from 67 to 72 on coast and 75 to 80 inland. Temperature will rise another four to five degress Thursday.

We're starting off the morning with some nicely groomed surf conditions. As far as the surf goes, there's mainly continued dropping west-northwest swell in the water.

That recipe is offering this stretch of sand some kind of crumbly sectiony lines with a few good steep shoulders to snag. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to chest high plus waves with the focal points pulling some larger sets.

If you're going to get wet, throw on that 4/3 fullsuit and maybe the booties with the water temperature at most spots averaging between 56 and 58 degrees. Get on it!
