Wednesday Surf Report and Weather Report

Fun size mixture of energy, warmer than average temperatures countywide.

I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're seeing a fun size mix of energy out there. Yep, if you have a little time to kill, go grab a few.

High of 86 in Imperial Beach expected Wednesday, 85 in Coronado, 88 in downtown San Diego and 90 in Chula Vista. High 90s inland or near the same temperatures expected in Borrego Springs or El Centro.

Surf conditions are starting off nicely groomed, with a combination of some southwest swell and some lingering northwest energy in the water.

This part of the coast can expect some fast and fairly broken-up lines, with some nice steep shoulders to snag. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to maybe stomach high waves, with the top combo breaks pulling a few larger sets.

If you're planning on paddling, a thin fullsuit is the call with the water temperature averaging between 60 and 63 degrees. Have at it!
