Wednesday Wave and Weather Report

Playful size waves linger, so will clouds until midday.

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. It's looking a lot like the last couple of days. Yep, basically it's hanging in that small to playful size range up and down the coast.

We're starting of with a mixture of the continued southwest swell, south-southwest energy and minor northwest windswell in the water.

That makes for some fast sectiony lines, and some nice wedgy shoulders to snag. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to stomach high plus waves, with the focal points pulling chest high sets.

In the day's weather expect cloudy skies and patchy fog in some areas until 11 a.m. in IB then sun and a high temperature of 75 degrees, 78 in San Diego, mid 80s to 90s inland and 116 in Borrego Springs Wednesday. Low temperature of 64 degrees this evening in Imperial Beach.

If you're going to get wet, do yourself a favor and throw on at least a short sleeve fullsuit or better yet a thin fullsuit, with the water temperature averaging between a cool 62 and 65 degrees. Have fun!
