Wednesday Wave Check

Good dose of swell on tap.

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report.  Well we're definitely seeing more energy out there this morning.  So, if you're looking for some sizeable surf, then go grab a few at some point during the day.

We're starting off with some fairly clean conditions with a pretty healthy dose of west northwest swell in the water.

That recipe is offering this stretch of sand some fast and fairly walled lines at the beachbreaks.  So, you just might want to hit up a point or reef where you can find more shape out there.

Most spots in Imperial Beach are running about chest to head high plus with the focal points pulling overhead waves with some sets reaching a few feet overhead.

Taking a look at the tides...at 5:36 this morning the tide climbed up to a 5.1 high and then drops to a 0.2 low at 1:10 this afternoon.

If you're going to grab some of the action, get out your 4/3 fullsuit and maybe your booties with the water temperature at most spots averaging between 56 and 58 degrees.  Be safe!

Today's skies will be clear with high temperatures along the coast will be in the low 70s and mid to high 80s inland as close as Chula Vista. Low temperatures tonight in the low 50s.
