Softball: San Marino Snaps Spartans' Winning Streak (Photos)
La Cañada's 29-game winning streak ended Friday night as the Titans beat the Spartans 3-2 during the "Strike Out Cancer'' fundraiser.
Varsity girls softball teams from and high schoolsl weren't just battling each other Friday night, but helping battle cancer at a "Strike Out Cancer" game that raised funds for the American Cancer Society.
The cherry on top was when San Marino's Michelle Floyd scored the winning run to bring the score to 3-2, meaning the Titans broke La Cañada's 29-game winning streak.
San Marino players wore white and La Cañada players wore light pink, each of the uniforms representing breast cancer awareness.
