Capistrano Connections Academy Hosts Grand Opening Celebration at New Teaching Center; Invites Families to Learn About Online School

Virtual school has served SoCal students for a decade

Capistrano Connections Academy, a tuition-free online public school that has been successfully serving students for 10 years in K-12 in Southern California, is celebrating the grand opening of its new, expanded teaching center in San Juan Capistrano on Monday, Aug. 25. Families interested in learning about its online program and individualized approach to education are invited to the event to meet with Capistrano Connections Academy teachers, administrators and current families, thoroughly explore the school’s program and curriculum, and learn about the enrollment process.

The event will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks from school principal Dr. Richard Savage, followed by a reception with light refreshments, as well as a site tour and fun activities for families and students.

Capistrano Connections Academy expects to serve more than 2,200 students in the 2014-15 school year. The school is authorized under state law by the Capistrano Unified School District and is available to students in grades K-12 who reside in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties. The non-traditional learning environment can be a great fit for all types of students including those who need a flexible schedule or learn at a different pace from their peers.
