“Into the Woods” is a title that weaves characters from a
combination of famous fairy tales into a very entertaining story. Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Rapunzel, the Big Bad Wolf, Prince Charming and many more famous characters are cleverly combined in a story that reminds its audience of important life values.
“It is definitely the most challenging piece of theatre we
could attempt,” said Tracey Bonner, director of “Into the Woods.” “No question, this is an intricate piece of
musical theatre, especially for high school kids to pull off. But I am so impressed by these LBHS drama students and their commitment to the story and the characters in the play. Audiences will be mesmerized to learn what happens after Cinderella marries the Prince and after the Big Bad Wolf eats Little Red Riding Hood. With its beautiful musical score, this comedy touches upon larger life lessons through the inventive retelling of simple fairy tales.
‘Into the Woods’ reminds us to listen to our souls for the important answers in life.”
