Man-Shaped Mannequin Reported For Trespassing In Laguna Beach Neighborhood

The report was made as a result of an April 1st joke played on a household in Laguna Beach, police said.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Laguna Beach police received a report Wednesday that left officers scratching their heads.

On April 1, Laguna Beach Police Department officers responded to a possible trespassing on private property.

According to police, someone reported seeing a person camping and drinking next to their home.

Upon arrival, police quickly discovered that it was nothing more than a prank — a man-shaped mannequin had been dressed and positioned to appear as a loiterer by an unknown prankster.

"We know some of you will be pulling off epic pranks today, but remember, faking emergencies or calling 911 is not a joke," police said in a statement. "Stay safe, have fun, and don't be a fool."
