49th Congressional Candidates Prepare For June Primary

Candidates running for the 49th Congressional district spoke in April across South OC. What issues are most important to you this year?

DANA POINT, CA — In April, candidates for the 49th Congressional district spoke to voters and local chambers of commerce from across southern Orange County. Candidates answered community drafted questions that ranged from homelessness, San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, gun violence in schools, and sober living homes.

In May, campaigning for this much contested district is expected to continue. A June 5 primary will choose the top two candidates. Those two will face off in the general election on Nov. 8, 2018.

The conferences took place at Dana Point's Ocean Institute, and at Capo Beach Church.
