SAN CLEMENTE, CA — An Orange County cultural center is in desperate need of help after a landslide prompted the immediate closure of Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens in San Clemente.

The landslide, which was originally reported on Thursday, April 27, tore off part of the center's Ocean Terrace and prompted safety officials to red-tag the building — which formerly housed San Clemente founder Ole Hanson.

On Friday, the cultural center announced its plans to partially reopen the estate by the end of May — and they need the help of Orange County residents to stay open, as the nonprofit seeks to raise $250,000 by the end of June.
