Beauty Biz Is Big in Laguna Niguel

A number of beauty related businesses have opened in the city in the past few weeks ranging from a national chain to a new cosmetics line.

Beauty is big business, even here in Laguna Niguel.

Over the last few weeks, a number of beauty-related businesses have opened shop in the city--ranging from a new cosmetics lines to a national chain opening its doors.

Manna Kadar owner of Island Tan Salon & Spa, recently launched her own line, MANNA Cosmetics at 30232 Crown Valley Pkwy., Suite A4.

She offered an afternoon celebration of beauty and makeup at her store for new and existing clients. Her motto is: beauty simplified.

Kadar added that MANNA Cosmetics was custom formulated to ensure each product will be multi-functional and provide a flawless, long lasting look. 

Special Eyeliner Worn by Stars

Our own resident, Mosha Katani, a celebrity makeup artist, has been selling an eyeliner powder called sormeh at a few Orange County locations. This sooty black liner is made up of bamboo root and is a natural product. The sormeh is safe, requires no washing off and can last a few days on the eyes. She's been selling it on line and recently started selling it at Wholesome Choice Market and Super Irvine in Irvine.

She's hoping to get it into the Mosha's sormeh has quite the following with likes of Angelina Jolie, Rose McGowan, Naomi Campbell and male rockstars such as Green Day and My Chemical Romance, to name a few. Check it out when you get a chance, bottle retails for $28 with refills at $14 and there is a cute travel size that retails for $16.

New Place to Shop

Sally Beauty Supply is now open, taking over the space formerly occupied by , 27881 La Paz Rd., at the Plaza de La Paz shopping center. 

Sally Beauty Supply offers more than 6,000 professional products for hair, skin and nails to retail customers and salon professionals, according to its companywebsite.
