Freed Associates Builds Consulting Team with Kelly Huffman and Shirley Kwok

Freed Associates, a California-based healthcare consultancy, has expanded their consulting team with new healthcare consultants Kelly Huffman and Shirley Kwok, both contribute years of healthcare expertise to Freed Associates. To the Southern California team, Huffman brings significant project management experience and Kwok adds valuable knowledge of a wide range of population health subjects to the Northern California team.

Having worked with both Medicaid and Medicare health plans as well as Medicaid Management Information Systems, Huffman offers significant experience in project management for new implementations and information technology systems, organizational design, communications and public relations, and program development. Huffman is detail-oriented and analytical. Prior to joining Freed Associates, Huffman worked for Molina Healthcare where she led customer and employee satisfaction projects and public relations efforts.

Like Huffman, Kwok has broad experience in population health, and deep experience in value-based payment, health reform, revenue cycle management, and project management. Prior to joining Freed Associates, Kwok worked for Blue Shield of California and several types of health industry organizations including payers, provider and purchasers. Kwok’s diverse portfolio of experience allows her to successfully tackle a wide variety of new client assignments.

Huffman holds an MBA with an emphasis in organization leadership from Brandman University. Kwok holds a Masters of Public Health in Community Sciences and her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles.
