You’re invited to join Ripple Kids for a free family-fun event on Sunday, June 8 from 12 pm – 3 pm at Hicks Canyon Elementary School. Ripple Kids, an Orange County-based nonprofit seeking to empower kids in their communities, will host fun and educational service projects that will benefit the environment, animals, kids, the elderly, and the homeless. Kids can choose from packing meals or birthday party kits for needy children, planting milkweed to save monarch butterflies, making cards for seniors and soldiers, or learning about making a difference in our oceans and beaches. With over 500 attendees last year, interested activists can chat with nonprofits and meet other kids that are passionate about the same cause. Families can listen to live music, watch a skating demonstration sponsored by Active, and indulge in food truck eats. After making a difference, families are invited to an exclusive shopping event at the La Jolla Group employee store, where 20% of sales will benefit Ripple Kids. Bring your kids and inspire them to take a step in the right direction! Hicks Canyon Elementary School is located at 3817 Viewpark Ave. Irvine, CA 92602.
