Batter Up! La Jolla Country Day School Gears Up for Baseball
La Jolla students will hold a baseball drive to help children athletes throughout San Diego and surrounding communities.

Spring is in full swing which means baseball season has officially arrived.
The students and parents at the La Jolla Country Day School will host a baseball collection drive for young athletes.

LJCDS students and parents teamed up together to create the non-profit organization, Kids Gear for Baseball.
Their annual Kids Gear for Baseball Collection Drive will bring baseball equipment to young baseball players without access to athletic gear.

Donation items includue used baseball gloves, bats, helmets, catchers' gear, batting gloves and baseballs.
Drop off any donations or volunteer your time from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 5 at Petco Park.
Collection bins will be available at the main gates. For each donation, a raffle ticket will be given for the chance to win Padres tickets and autographed memorabilia.
