Best California Cities For Christmas Celebrations: LIST

Only a few California cities rank among the top 50 "Best Places for Christmas Celebrations," according to a new report by WalletHub.

CALIFORNIA – It's the most wonderful time of the year, but celebrating the Christmas season can be especially wonderful in certain cities across the country.

When it comes to decking the halls and other holiday-related festivities, San Francisco ranks as the country's second-best city for Christmas celebrations, behind only Chicago, according to a new study by WalletHub.

Only three other cities in California rank among the top 50 "Best Places for Christmas Celebrations," according to the personal finance website's report. Los Angeles came in 14th place on the list, San Diego in 17th and Sacramento in 34th.

San Bernardino is the lowest city in California on the list, with only North Las Vegas, Nevada, and Hialeah, Florida, ranking below.

The study compared the country's 100 largest cities based on 29 key indicators of a festive and affordable Christmas, such as traditions, shopping and costs. San Francisco is tied for first place when it comes to most gift shops per capita, most Christmas tree farms per capita, and highest online giving per capita, according to the study.
