Best Foodie Cities In CA: WalletHub's 2019 List​​

A new report by WalletHub ranked the best and worst foodie cities in the country. Do you agree with the rankings?

CALIFORNIA — If you love food and consider yourself a foodie, California is one of the best places to be, according to a new report by WalletHub. The personal finance website ranked three California cities among the top 10 best foodie cities in the country.

The 2019 Best Foodie Cities in America list compared more than 180 of the largest U.S. cities across 30 key metrics of foodie-friendliness.

The rankings also expanded upon the term "foodie." "Foodie culture" isn't limited to gourmet dining, according to WalletHub, but also things like cost of groceries, affordability and accessibility of high-quality restaurants, and food festivals per capita.

Portland, Oregon, ranked as the best foodie city in the country, according to WalletHub, followed by New York and Miami. San Francisco ranked fourth and Los Angeles landed at fifth. San Diego also cracked the top 10, coming in seventh.
