Author Ben Kamin will be at Warwick's to promote and sign copies of his new book, Room 306: The National Story of the Lorraine Motel.
Meet Kamin, who is a rabbi; an op-ed contributor to The New York Times; a columnist for the Cleveland Plain Dealer; and a renowned multi-cultural expert.
Room 306 tells the story of the tragic landmark in the civil rights movement, the Lorraine Motel in Memphis. The hotel is best known for what occurred there on April 4, 1968–the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from the balcony of room 306.
