Armed Convicted Felon Arrested During Lake Elsinore Traffic Stop

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A traffic stop Sunday night in Lake Elsinore ended in an arrest after a convicted felon was found with two loaded handguns and 2.9 grams of methamphetamine, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The traffic stop on a white Ford Explorer was made at 9:17 p.m. along Riverside Drive and Eisenhower Drive, the department said.
A vehicle search was conducted, and the guns and drugs were found, according to the department.

"One of the handguns was determined to be stolen from 2019 in the Hemet area," the sheriff's department said in a released report.
The driver, Robert Sean Lebrato, 38, was arrested on suspicion of being a convicted felon in possession of firearms, possession of a controlled substance, receiving known stolen property, and prior felony convictions, according to jail records.

He is being held at Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on $175,000 bail and is due in court Wednesday.
