Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested In Jurupa Valley

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department deputies with SET enforcement agents made the arrest nearly one week ago.

JURUPA VALLEY, CA — A 41 year old man was arrested on suspected robbery charges and numerous firearms were recovered during a warrant search in Jurupa Valley last week, the Riverside County Sheriff's department Jurupa Valley Station deputies reported.

Gilberto Alcaraz was taken into custody on 34th Street in Jurupa Valley late Friday, according to jail records. He was being held at the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of robbery, weapons violations, and other charges and was slated to appear in court at the Riverside Hall of Justice on Wednesday. Bail information was not immediately available.

Just after 6:15 p.m. on on Feb. 26, Jurupa Valley deputies arrived on report of a robbery that took place in the 2400 block of Hall Avenue, according to Sgt. Robert Martinez of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

"They found that a robbery took place, no injuries were reported and a suspect had fled the area," Martinez said.
