Big-Rig Crash On I-15 In Lake Elsinore, All Lanes Reopened

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A big rig driver was freed from the wreckage of a rollover crash on southbound Interstate 15 Friday morning and hospitalized with serious injuries.

The accident occurred near Railroad Canyon Road about 1:30 a.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The driver was trapped in the truck and rescued by firefighters, then taken to a hospital with serious injuries, the department said.

The crash caused gravel being hauled by the truck to be dumped on the freeway, prompting the closure of the No. 1 lane of the freeway.
