Big-Rig Crash Prompts SigAlert On 91 West In Riverside

The injury crash was reported just east of La Sierra Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

RIVERSIDE, CA — A big rig crashed into the center divider on westbound state Route 91 Thursday afternoon, prompting a SigAlert.

The injury crash was reported at approximately 12:30 p.m. just east of La Sierra Avenue in Riverside, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The number 1 and 2 lanes were blocked as of 1:06 p.m. and traffic was heavy on both sides of the freeway. There was no word on when lanes would be reopened.

It's unclear how many people were injured. Initial CHP reports indicated multiple vehicles were hit by the big rig.
