Burglar Caught Red-Handed By Wildomar Woman: Police

Sheriff's officials say the woman walked into her home and found the man standing inside, holding her belongings.

WILDOMAR, CA — A Wildomar woman this week returned home to find a thief standing in her house, holding her property in his arms, the sheriff's department reported Wednesday. The man, later identified as Anthony Campbell of Sun City, was ultimately arrested while running away from the house, according to authorities.

The break-in happened on Monday afternoon in the 35000 block of Frederick Street, according to sheriff's Sgt. Jeff Reese.

"Dispatch [was] advised the victim had entered her residence and located an unknown male subject inside, carrying various items," Reese said in a news release. "The victim quickly ran out of the residence and called 911, giving a brief description of the suspect."
