Convicted Sex Offender Among 2 Men Suspected In Perris Robbery
Frank Pinon, 69, of Stockton and Joe Pinon, 72, of Mead Valley were arrested in connection to the Aug. 12 robbery.

PERRIS, CA — A convicted sex offender and another man, both accused in an armed robbery of a Perris business, remained behind bars Monday following their arrests Friday, jail records show.
Frank Pinon, 69, of Stockton and Joe Pinon, 72, of Mead Valley were arrested in connection to the Aug. 12 robbery and booked at the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Sgt. Michael Hamilton.
According to Hamilton, one of the men entered the business in the 60 block of East Nuevo Road at about 5:40 p.m. that night, pointed a gun at an employee and demanded all the money in the cash register.

Frank Pinon at the time also had a warrant out for his arrest for allegedly violating his parole — a violation jail records say stemmed from him failing to register as a sex offender.
Both men are scheduled to make their initial court appearances at the Riverside Hall of Justice as early as Wednesday.
