Lake Elsinore, Wildomar Closures Due To Coronavirus

The updated list of venues and services closed, cancelled or partially shut down in Lake Elsinore and Wildomar due to coronavirus.

UPDATED 5 p.m. March 18:

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Here is the latest on coronavirus stats and orders from Riverside County Public Health, as well as an update on closures in Lake Elsinore and Wildomar.

COVID-19 infections: 16 confirmed cases in Riverside County, including two in western Riverside County

Death toll: 3 patients in Coachella Valley.

As of March 16, countywide, public gatherings of 10 or more people were ordered cancelled. The order issued by Riverside County Public Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser also states that gatherings with fewer than 10 people must have enough available room to maintain six feet of space between attendees — known as "social distancing."

The March 16 "10-person" order does not apply to courts; medical providers; public utilities; critical city, county and special district operations; logistics/distribution centers; congregate living settings; daycare and childcare; shelters; public transportation; air travel; or necessary shopping at gas stations, stores, or malls.

The order extends through April 30.

Police and Fire: Services continue uninterrupted; public access to station lobbies is limited.

Schools: All Riverside County schools are ordered closed through April 30. Remote learning and other forms of distance education can continue.

Stores: Many remain open.

Restaurants: Pick-up and drive-thru can remain open; in-restaurant dining is governed by the March 16 order (call before you go).

Veterinarians: Veterinary offices and hospitals may remain open but are required to follow the "10-person" rule.
