Coroner IDs Man Found Dead On Lake Perris

Foul play is not suspected.

PERRIS, CA — A 61-year-old man who was found overturned on his float tube on Lake Perris has been identified by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.

Marion Storey was discovered in the water by a boater shortly after 1 p.m. Friday at Lake Perris State Recreation Area.

Foul play is not suspected in Storey's death, according to John Rowe, California State Parks, Inland Empire/Perris Sector, Superintendent III. An autopsy is pending and will determine whether the San Jacinto resident suffered a medical emergency while on the float, Rowe said.

"When our officers arrived, he was deceased," Rowe continued. "The lake conditions were busy, but the water was relatively flat with low wind speeds."
