Coroner IDs Perris Man Killed In Fiery San Jacinto Crash

Witnesses told the CHP that four to five vehicles might have been involved but two vehicles crashed head-on and one caught fire.

SAN JACINTO, CA — Coroner's officials Sunday identified one of two people who were killed in a fiery two-vehicle, head-on crash in San Jacinto.

It was reported at 5:39 a.m. Saturday on the Ramona Expressway at Bridge Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Witnesses told the CHP that four to five vehicles might have been involved but two vehicles crashed head-on and one caught fire.

Carlos Rodriguez, 74, of Perris was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Riverside County coroner's office. The second victim has not been publicly identified.
