Deadly Meadowbrook Shooting: Arrest Made

MEADOWBROOK, CA — A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder following a shooting Monday in Meadowbrook.
Steven John Lindo was taken into custody at 9:30 p.m. Monday on John Street in Meadowbrook, according to jail records.
Earlier that day at around 12:19 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting in the 22000 block of John Street and found a man dead with a gunshot wound, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported.

It's not clear whether Lindo, a Meadowbrook resident, was at the scene when deputies arrived or what his relationship with the victim was. The sheriff's department did not release further details.
The victim's identity was being withheld pending notification of next of kin, according to the sheriff's department.

Lindo was being held at Southwest Detention Center on $1 million bail. He was due in court Thursday, according to jail records.
