Elsinore Fire Causes $120,000 In Damages
Fire officials say the blaze broke out in someone's backyard and spread to a neighboring residence.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A backyard fire that sparked in Lake Elsinore on Tuesday spread to a nearby home and left one person with minor injuries, the Riverside County Fire Department reports. The fire was reported about 3:20 p.m. in the 29000 block of Hursh Street, near Lash Street.
An agency spokeswoman said seven engine crews and a truck company, numbering about 30 personnel, were sent to the location and encountered flames engulfing more than half of the two-story home.
"A combination offensive and defensive attack with vertical ventilation contained the fire to one structure and a neighboring backyard," April Newman said. "The fire originated in the backyard and spread into the neighboring residence."
