Lake Elsinore July 4th Fireworks Canceled 2020: See Area Events

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Independence Day events across Riverside County will not look the same this year, thanks to the coronavirus.

Many local cities, including Lake Elsinore, decided to cancel their Fourth of July fireworks and events, along with Murrieta, which scrapped its birthday fireworks spectacular, and Temecula which canceled its fireworks and annual parade.

Along with Lake Elsinore, which announced its decision Thursday, another two, previously scheduled regional fireworks shows also were dropped this week: at Lake Arrowhead; and in Big Bear. Lake Elsinore's call then led to the cancellation of the July 4th BBQ, Film & Fireworks planned at the Diamond Drive-In.

But throughout Riverside County and the Inland Empire, live July 4th fireworks still are planned from Twentynine Palms and Agua Caliente in Rancho Mirage. Plus several communities are hosting patriotic, fun activities to do from home.
