Fuel Spill On I-15 Prompts Miles-Long Traffic Backup At 91
Lanes were blocked for nearly 2.5 hours following the spill, according to CHP logs.

CORONA, CA — A tractor-trailer spilled fuel Tuesday afternoon along northbound Interstate 15 in the Corona area, prompting officials to close multiple lanes, CHP reports indicate. The spill was near the Riverside (91) Freeway interchange.
The incident was first reported around 1 p.m. By 2:30 p.m., traffic reports showed bumper-to-bumper traffic for at least six miles south of the 91 on the 215.
California Highway Patrol logs indicate crews were sent to mop up the spill.

At 3:30 p.m., the agency reported that the scene was "declared safe" and all lanes were clear, but traffic data showed some residual backups int the area.
