Two grandchildren and three dogs were killed; other family members were seriously injured, according to a GoFundMe page for Julia Fisher.
LAKELAND VILLAGE, CA — A house fire that killed two little girls Monday afternoon in Lakeland Village remains under investigation, while a GoFundMe page set up for the toddlers' grandmother had raised nearly $30,000 as of early Wednesday afternoon.
"My dearest friend lost everything today. Two grandbabies (1 and 2 years old), and three of her beloved dogs whom she loves beyond words. She also lost her home," according to the GoFundMe page set up by Stephanie Heer in support of Julia Fisher.
The deadly fire was reported about 2:45 p.m. Monday in the 32900 block of Blackwell Boulevard, near Brightman Avenue, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

"It is unimaginable and totally devastating," the post read. "Julia has a heart of GOLD! She helps countless people and countless animals. Our hearts are all breaking for her and if there's anything we can do to help make this easier we would like to help make sure that the babies can be laid to rest. Please consider a small donation to make this possible."
Crews sent to the Blackwell Boulevard home on Monday encountered flames in multiple rooms of the single-story residence, with heavy smoke in the attached garage. The two toddlers were discovered within an hour of the fire's start, according to a report from the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.
The girls' names have not been released.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
