Circle K Armed Robbery In Lakeland Village Leads To Arizona Man: Cops
George Cardenas was tracked down at his Yuma home and taken into custody without incident.

LAKELAND VILLAGE, CA — A Yuma, Arizona, man suspected of holding up a Circle K store in Lakeland Village earlier this month was being extradited to Riverside County following his out-of-state arrest.
According to a report Thursday from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, George Cardenas, 61, was tracked down at his Yuma home and taken into custody without incident. He was booked into a Yuma County jail but is expected to face charges of armed robbery in Riverside County stemming from the alleged holdup.
The investigation began Oct. 12 when deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station were called to the Circle K in the 17600 block of Grand Avenue.

Witnesses told deputies that a man walked into the store, pointed a handgun at the clerk, and took money from the register, according to the sheriff's department.
"After developing several promising leads," deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station’s Special Enforcement Team identified Cardenas as the suspect, according to the department.
