Lows Near Freezing Again Expected In Lake Elsinore

Plus, see just how cold it got across the Inland Empire on Monday and Tuesday.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Clear skies and light winds caused temperatures to plummet Tuesday morning to freezing or near freezing in parts of Riverside County, with more low temperatures on tap Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service said. This, after snow fell in parts of Riverside County on Monday.

If you thought you woke up to some cold temperatures on Tuesday, get ready to feel that bitter cold again. The temperatures are expected to drop back into the 20s to mid-30s overnight.

A cold low-pressure system over much of the western United States was causing the chilly local weather, with below-average daytime temperatures expected to prevail for the next two weeks, the NWS said.
