EL CARISO, CA — A motorcyclist was killed Friday evening in an Ortega Highway crash at El Cariso, just west of Lake Elsinore, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
The fatal crash was reported at 6:09 p.m. in the 32000 block of Ortega Highway, the agency announced via social media.
The motorcyclist died at the scene, the agency reported.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist lost control and struck a Prius.
There were no other injuries, according Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

The CHP is investigating the crash.
The identity of the deceased will not be released until next of kin is notified.
