Pedestrian Killed In Elsinore Crash, Sheriff's Officials Report

The man died at the scene of the Monday night collision.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Sheriff's officials are investigating a deadly crash in Lake Elsinore, after a pedestrian was killed Monday night. The crash happened along Lakeshore Drive near Adam Avenue around 8:30 p.m., according to Sgt. James Woodland.

"Upon arriving, officers located a male with major injuries in the roadway," Woodland said. "Despite life-saving efforts by Officers and paramedics, the pedestrian, a 54 year-old Lake Elsinore man, died at the scene."

Officials said the driver of the vehicle that hit the man was uninjured.

"The Traffic Reconstruction Team of the Lake Elsinore Police Department is conducting a full investigation to determine the cause of the collision," the sergeant said. "Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this collision."

Following the incident, Lakeshore Drive was closed in both directions for several hours.
