PERRIS, CA — Firefighters managed to hold a wildfire that broke out Saturday in Perris to three acres.

It was reported at 12:29 p.m. near the 20300 block of Sherman Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Fire officials said the blaze was initially burning at a moderate speed amid light winds, but firefighters stopped the forward spread by 1:04 p.m.
