Senior Killed in Two-Car Crash at Perris Intersection
The man was killed in a weekend wreck.

PERRIS, CA — Authorities Monday released the name of a 74-year-old motorist who was fatally injured in a collision at a Perris intersection.
Antonio Ramirez of Grand Terrace was headed east on Walnut Street about 5 p.m. Saturday when he initiated a left turn to go northbound on Perris Boulevard, requiring him to cross southbound lanes. He apparently did not see a 20-year-old driver going south on Perris and pulledin front of the younger motorist, causing the two cars to collide, according to Riverside County sheriff's investigators.
Ramirez's vehicle was struck on the driver's side, and both cars came to rest in the roadway in a crumpled heap.

He was taken to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley, where he died less than an hour later. The other motorist suffered minor injuries and was treated at the same hospital.
Investigators said neither man was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
