LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A brush fire that broke out Thursday in a field on the north end of Lake Elsinore scorched roughly two acres before it was stopped.

The non-injury blaze was reported just before noon in the area of Fulmor and Pinnell streets, just west of Interstate 15, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Multiple engine crews encountered flames burning at a slow rate through medium vegetation within a few hundred yards of several homes, according to reports from the scene. Crews encircled the brusher a half-hour later. No structures were damaged.
