Smoke Column Erupts From RivCo Structure Fire

A fire erupted Monday morning off California Avenue in Norco, Monday.

NORCO, CA — Firefighters from the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department rushed to the scene of a Monday morning barn fire that extended to multiple vehicles and open land, the agency reported.

Shortly after 9 a.m., dark black smoke was seen rising from a home in the 4400 block of California Avenue in Norco, a Cal Fire spokesperson reported.

"The first arriving engine company saw a barn and multiple vehicles, including surrounding vegetation on fire," they said.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department deputies will have California Road and Seventh Street closed for the duration of the incident.

Crews will remain on the scene until approximately noon, and no people or animals were injured as a result of the blaze.
