Fire Rips Through Storage Facility In Lake Elsinore, 20 Units Damaged

The facility is located in the 29100 block of Riverside Drive.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Firefighters were at the scene of a commercial fire that broke out Tuesday evening in Lake Elsinore.

The fire damaged 20 units at a mini storage facility located in the 29100 block of Riverside Drive, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department Captain John Clingingsmith Jr.

One person suffered minor burns in the blaze and was evaluated but refused further treatment, according to the captain.

No firefighters were hurt, according to Clingingsmith.

Forty firefighters were battling the blaze, with personnel on the ground and in the air.

The blaze was first reported at 5:08 p.m. Crews are expected to remain at the scene into the night, Clingingsmith said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
