String Of Commercial Burglaries Leads To Lake Elsinore Arrest

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A Lake Elsinore man suspected in several recent commercial burglaries has been arrested, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced.

Duane Donald Blunt, 42, was stopped by deputies around 4 a.m. Tuesday near Casino and Diamond drives after he was spotted riding a bicycle. According to the sheriff's department, Blunt matched the description of a man sought in an Oct. 13 commercial burglary in the 300 block of Summerhill Drive in Lake Elsinore.

"This same suspect was also identified through video surveillance in at least three other commercial burglaries, all within a weeks’ time," the sheriff's department stated.

Blunt was booked into Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of second-degree burglary. He was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail, according to jail records.

He is due in court Thursday, according to the jail records.
