Suspect Arrested In 2023 Shooting Death Of Lake Elsinore Teen
Deputies say a 23-year-old man eluded law enforcement years after he was named a suspect in the death of an 18-year-old.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A 23-year-old Hemet man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Lake Elsinore nearly three years ago, Riverside County sheriff’s officials said.
Samuel Salazar was taken into custody Jan. 21 by Riverside County sheriff's deputies from a home in the 700 block of East Wright Street in Hemet, according to the department. He was arrested without incident.
Salazar was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of murder in the death of Noah Ivancso, an 18-year-old Lake Elsinore resident, authorities said.

The shooting was reported May 7, 2023, at about 2:09 p.m., when deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a medical aid call in the 33100 block of Jamieson Street. Deputies arrived within minutes and found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station and the department’s Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation.

Shortly after the shooting, investigators identified Salazar as a suspect. Authorities said multiple attempts were made over the following years to locate him, but he eluded law enforcement, prompting the issuance of an arrest warrant.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information is being released at this time, sheriff’s officials said.
