Suspected Drug Dealer Arrested In Southwest Riverside County

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A domestic disturbance call in the City of Lake Elsinore led to the arrest of a 49-year-old suspected drug dealer, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported.

The domestic disturbance call came in around 12:30 p.m. Thursday. During the investigation, deputies determined the suspect, Paul Puga, was involved in illicit drug sales, according to a report from sheriff's Sgt. Glenn Warrington.

A search warrant was obtained, and around 12:30 a.m. Friday deputies searched Puga's residence in the 100 block of Kellogg Street. There they seized over 10 pounds of methamphetamine along with over a pound of heroin; the drugs had a street value of more than $213,000 according to Warrington's report.

Puga was found with a large amount of U.S. currency, which was also seized, according to Warrington's report.

Puga was arrested on suspicion of possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and heroin; he was booked into Southwest Detention Center.
