PERRIS, CA — Two people spotted inside a vehicle at a Perris car wash seemed out of place at 4:25 a.m. Monday, so a Riverside County Sheriff's Department deputy decided to take a closer look

The deputy’s investigation at the Perris Boulevard and Orange Avenue location led to the discovery of 7 ounces of methamphetamine, cash, three guns and ammunition, according to sheriff's Sgt. Steve Staton. One of the guns was an AR-15 “ghost” that didn't have a serial number, and another was stolen from a Moreno Valley residence, Staton said.

Jose Lopez, 34, and Irene Gutierrez, 43, both of Moreno Valley, were arrested and booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center.
