Teen Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder: Homeland

Through the course of the investigation that began May 12, a 16-year-old Homeland resident was identified as the suspect.

HOMELAND, CA — The investigation into a robbery last month near Homeland has led to the arrest of a teen who is suspected of attempted murder, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported.

Around 4:09 a.m. May 12, deputies were called out to the 31000 block of state Route 74 regarding a robbery. When they got on scene, deputies found a male juvenile suffering from severe head trauma, the department reported.

The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for his treatment, although an update on his condition was not available.

Through the course of the investigation, a 16-year-old Homeland resident was identified as the suspect, and on Thursday an arrest was made on suspicion of attempted murder and robbery, according to the sheriff's department.

The teen was booked into Southwest Juvenile Hall in Murrieta, but no further information was provided.
