Third Annual College and Career Networking Fair Announced

From Community Outreach Ministry: Community Outreach Ministry (COM) is a 501 C3 non-profit in Wildomar serving Riverside County. The mission strives to help break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, drugs, violence, delinquency, gangs and incarceration in at-risk youth affected by one or both parents who are incarcerated.

The March event offered the following: Breaking the Cycle of Incarceration: Mentor/Protégé Workshop resources for youth transitioning into adulthood. The goal was to assist at-risk youth and families in escaping the road of criminal behavior and self-destruction. Community Outreach Ministry also offered referrals and resources to empower college and career bound youth to transition into adulthood with confidence and purpose.

At the March 8 event, volunteers organized a free clothing drive for guests. This was one of many annual events sponsored by the Community Outreach Ministry that has helped thousands of young boys and girls since 2000. Camping activities and holiday parties for youth are just some of the many other activities offered by the ministry.
