Wildomar Gas Station Suffers Fuel Spill, Cleanup Thursday
Firefighters stemmed a fuel spill at a 76 Gas Station on Mission trail near Bundy Canyon in the Sedco Hills area of Wildomar.

WILDOMAR, CA — A fuel spill at a Wildomar gas station parking lot prompted a cleanup by emergency responders Thursday, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department reported.
The spill occurred around noon at the 76 Station on the 33900 block of Mission Trail at Bundy Canyon Road in the Sedco Hills area, Cal Fire spokesperson Maggie De La Rosa said.
Emergency responders arrived to find a pool of petrol that had been "diffused by rainfall," according to Cal Fire.

The type of fuel and how it flowed out of a vehicle were not immediately made clear. Also, a specific number of gallons that leaked was not immediately disclosed.
A hazardous materials unit was initially summoned, but engine crews stated they could mop up and contain the mess without the hazmat team, according to reports from the scene.

Inspectors from the county Department of Environmental Health were requested to determine whether the fuel spill posed any further public safety hazard.
